ガーナのゴミ問題
世界では1年に約38億トン以上のプラスチックが生産されている。ガーナだけでも1万トン生産されており、実際にリサイクルできているのは2〜5%程。
残りはゴミとなって町中に捨てられています。
整備された綺麗な街のすぐ裏には、写真のようにゴミがあることが当たり前。悪臭、汚水、環境汚染。そこから繋がっていくのは人々の身体への影響。
しかし道端にゴミを捨てることについて何も感じていないガーナ人。
少しずつ時間をかけてでも人々の意識を変えなければいけない。
我々にできることを探っていきます。
The world produces over 3.8 billion tons of plastic each year.
Ghana alone produces 10,000 tons, and only about 2-5% can actually be recycled. The rest is thrown away as garbage around town.
It is normal for there to be garbage just behind the well-maintained streets, as shown in the photo.
Bad smell, sewage, environmental pollution. What follows from this is the impact it has on people's bodies.
But Ghanaians feel nothing about throwing garbage on the roadside.
For now, we have to change people's mindset even if it takes time.
We will look into what we can do.
